Status and purpose
The authorised path uses synthetic data only and a local deterministic provider. Vertex AI is present in the code but blocked for real data. Planned functions extract fields, link citations, propose deadlines and prepare informational drafts.
Limitations
Outputs may be wrong, incomplete or taken out of context. They are not legal advice, do not determine the validity of a contract or clause, do not decide whether to sign, and do not establish debts or infringements. Context, applicable law and external facts may not have been verified.
Human oversight and challenge
Every result must display references, confidence, limitations and points requiring verification. The user may correct, ignore or challenge the output. No message, event, payment, monitoring or other external action starts automatically.
Security and prohibited data
Documents and external content are untrusted data, not instructions. The model must not receive special-category data, criminal-offence data or minors' data. The pipeline deployed in synthetic_only applies a versioned policy, deterministic TXT screening and local OCR on reconstructed PDFs/images; flagged or unreadable files fail closed. These controls reduce risk but do not eliminate false negatives or indirect wording and do not authorise real data: the relevant gate remains closed.
Governance
Provider, model, version, endpoint, API, region, logging, cache, sessions, grounding, incidents, tests and review are maintained in the Vertex gate and the AI register that remains to be completed. The AI Act role and classification require professional validation against the actual use case.
